Key Strategic Group team created an engagement plan for redeveloping UMSL’s South Campus into a new workforce and innovation district. KSG conducted interviews with campus officials, hosted tabling sessions, and created a survey to gauge feedback from campus and community members. The team also organized town hall meetings for small business owners and nearby residents. Additional engagement included: targeted focus groups, design sessions with students, meetings with staff, conversations with municipal leaders, and grassroots engagement in the form of pop-up events, “neighborhood parties” cohosted with residents, and paid community canvassing in the surrounding neighborhoods. A media campaign developed alongside university staff broadened the reach of these events and the survey.
