At United Way of Greater St. Louis, Carla Reid served as Director of Capacity Building Initiatives, leading efforts that strengthen nonprofit leadership, organizational effectiveness, and community impact. Her work focuses on developing strategic partnerships, facilitating learning initiatives, and supporting organizations in building sustainable systems that better serve communities across the region.

As the founder of the Brick x Brick Collective, Carla leads community-centered real estate and development initiatives focused on neighborhood revitalization, equitable investment, and community wealth-building. She also supports emerging developers and investors through education, engagement, and collaborative development opportunities.

Through her leadership with the Mark Twain Neighborhood Association, Carla has advanced resident engagement and neighborhood stabilization efforts by facilitating community-driven initiatives, collaborative planning, and grassroots leadership development focused on long-term neighborhood improvement.

At Urban Strategies, Carla supported community engagement and organizational strategy efforts designed to strengthen partnerships, elevate resident voice, and advance equitable community development through collaborative stakeholder engagement and planning.

Through her work with Operation Pathways, Carla contributed to community outreach, stakeholder engagement, and partnership-building efforts focused on strengthening families, improving access to resources, and supporting sustainable community and neighborhood outcomes.

Through her involvement with the Neighborhood Leadership Fellows, Carla Reid has supported leadership development and community-driven change efforts by collaborating with neighborhood leaders, stakeholders, and civic partners across the St. Louis region. Her work has focused on strengthening resident leadership, fostering cross-sector relationships, and advancing initiatives that promote sustainable neighborhood growth, civic engagement, and community impact.
